EssentOptics develops high accuracy PHOTON RT and LINZA 150 spectrophotometers for coaters focusing exclusively on optical measuring needs. Experience and deep knowledge of our employees are among our most valuable resources helping to design these advanced tools. Our employees have many years of practical experience both in development of optical instruments and in designing of optical coatings and complete optical systems. We also design and produce IRIS and AKRA broadband/monochromatic optical monitoring systems providing the vacuum coating experts with turn-key solutions. Along with production of the pre-engineered optical instruments, we carry out system integration and custom engineering serving the application-driven markets.
The PHOTON RT UV-VIS-MWIR scanning spectrophotometer is designed specifically for unattended measurement of optical samples with coatings. The instrument is produced in six configurations relative to the effective wavelength range - from 185 nm up to 5200 nm.
The LINZA 150 spectrophotometer is designed for broadband transmittance and reflectance measurement of lenses and lens assemblies (objectives). Indeed, lenses come in vast variety of sizes and shapes which makes them extremely difficult to measure. Given the inherent challenges in trying to measure transmittance or reflectance on lenses, optical engineers often need to combine data from a several witness samples in order to tease out basic details about optical performance of a lens. However, due to the nature of any deposition technology, the coating on lenses differs from that on the witness sample. Even more insurmountable barrier is the need to measure the off-axis optical lens performance.
The IRIS Broadband Optical Monitoring Systems (BOM) represent the most advanced solution for control of vacuum deposition systems. IRIS systems are designed to control the transmission or reflection spectra, and allow for layer-by-layer correction of the thin film coating. The system is based on EOS low noise and precision spectrometer designed by EssentOptics. The system comes with a robust software package for measuring optical performance and visualization of measurement process on the system’s display.
The AKRA Monochromatic Optical Monitoring Systems are designed to measure transmission and/or reflection of optical coatings during the vacuum deposition process. The system is based on the originally-designed monochromator and control software for visualization of the measurement process on the system’s control display.
The application of the MultiSpectum software together with AKRA and IRIS optical monitoring systems represents a powerful combination for production of optical coatings virtually of any complexity. The most valuable effect is achieved when producing non-quarterwavelength coatings - broadband AR coatings, cut-off filters, narrowband filters and multispectral coatings.
EssentOptics offers a wide variety of transmission spheres and flats to broaden the capabilities of interferometers. Transmission flats are available with clear apperturtes from 90 to 150 mm and designed to measure transmitted wavefront or surface quality of flat optics. Transmission spheres are developed to measure surface quality or transmitted wavefront of concave or convex surfaces and offered in wide variety of clear appertures.
